I don’t have a lot to say today. I’m just wishing all of my readers a happy 4th of July and sharing some of my thoughts on the holiday.
The United States Independence Day celebration has always been one of my favorite holidays. It’s a time for family and just hanging out together. For my family the 4th was usually a beach day. Play in the sand all day, grill in the early evening, and pop firecrackers at home or watch a fireworks show.
I’m currently living in a city that doesn’t do fireworks displays as far as I’ve been able to find via my internet searches. But that is fine. We’ve got sparklers for the kids and ice cream for after. Even though there’s a lot of chaos going on in our country (and the world) right now, I think a lot of people are appreciating the familiarity of family traditions at this time.
So where ever you are, whatever you are doing, I’m wishing my readers the best. I hope you are safe, healthy, well cared for, and have friends and family to keep you company.
And if you prefer curling up with a good book, that’s alright too. =)
